North Spokane mini mart robbed

A north Spokane gas station was robbed at gunpoint Friday night, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office reported. A female employee reported that a robber entered the Hico Village store, 10606 N. Newport Highway, about 6 p.m. and demanded cash and ordered her to the ground, Sgt. Dave Reagan said in a news release. He brandished a silver-colored pistol, Reagan said. He left through the west doors, and the clerk was unsure if he fled in a car, Regan said. The robber was described as black, between 45 and 55 years old and about 5-feet-9. He wore a baseball cap, black gloves, a gray sweatshirt and dark jeans, Reagan said. Reagan said that anyone with information on the case should contact Crime Check at 456-2233.
