Man with serious injuries found in alley

A 60-year-old Spokane man was injured Sunday during a fight in a West Central alley, Spokane police said.

Officers found the victim unconscious with facial injuries about 10:30 p.m. in the alley west of Nettleton Street near Bridge Avenue. He was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center with serious injuries. Police did not update his condition today.

Police said the motive for the assault was unknown, nor had they determined if any weapons were involved.
