Vobora: He’s not at fault

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Rams linebacker and former University of Idaho player David Vobora, who was suspended for four games for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances Tuesday, is blaming a tainted supplement for his positive test.

One of Vobora’s agents, Marc Lillibridge, said the suspension was because of a tainted workout supplement.

“He is suspended under the NFL Anabolic Steroid policy but in no way has David ever used an illegal substance,” Lillibridge said. “He took a supplement that was tainted. A highly respected toxicologist has proven this to be the case. David did everything by the book in regards to investigating this supplement before he began using this product.”

“We have fought the test results vehemently, but the NFL rules state that a player is ultimately responsible for what they ingest, so by the letter of the law, David will miss the next four games,” Lillibridge said.
