Bill of rights wrong

The Spokesman-Review

Taking a cruise through Envision Spokane’s nutty “Community Bill of Rights,” what I envision is either a group of lawyers looking for an endless stream of lawsuits to work on, a blister of hard-core socialists or a mix of both.

Most of the provisions in the “Bill of Rights” are either impossible to define or enforce, expensive to implement, negatively impact business relations, probably violate some existing federal or state law, or most importantly are just plain crazy. Declaring a pile of “rights” only will do one thing: start a lot of fights.

The stated goals of this proposition can better be achieved through existing laws, better government and more involvement by individuals in their neighborhoods! Please say no to Prop. 4.
