Bobcats upend Weber State

C.J. Palmer scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 6-yard run early in the fourth quarter Saturday and Montana State (3-1, 2-0 Big Sky) stopped a late fourth-and-goal at the 1-yard line to beat Weber State (2-3, 2-1) 26-21 at Ogden, Utah.

Aaron Mason ran for 138 yards and two touchdowns, while Palmer finished with 45 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Bobcats.

Sacramento State 31, Portland State 14: Jason Smith passed for 256 yards and three touchdowns as the Hornets (1-3, 1-1) rolled to a convincing victory over the Vikings (1-4, 0-3) at Portland.

Terrance Dailey wound up with 111 yards on 34 carries for Sacramento State. John Hendershott was the Hornets’ top receiver with five catches for 117 yards.

N. Arizona 35, N. Colorado 27: Michael Herrick threw for 277 yards and four touchdowns as the Lumberjacks (2-2, 1-1) knocked off the Bears (1-4, 0-3) at Flagstaff, Ariz.

Alex Henderson ran for 160 yards and Ed Barry caught five passes for 140 yards for the Lumberjacks.
