Kellen Moore threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns, including a pair to Austin Pettis, to lead No. 5 Boise State to a 34-16 victory over UC Davis at Boise.

The Broncos (5-0) got off to a slow start and struggled to run the ball against the FCS Aggies.

The Broncos rushed for just 101 yards, far less than the 214 yards per game they were averaging. Boise State got just 13 points in four trips to the red zone in the first half before Moore finally helped the offense get on track in the second half.

Moore was 22 of 31 with one interception. His longest TD pass was 42 yards to Titus Young. Pettis had 10 catches for 129 yards, while Young had six catches for 83 yards.

Doug Martin added a 4-yard TD run in the final minute of the game to close out the scoring.

The Aggies (1-3) were led by quarterback Greg Denham, who was 24 of 36 for 206 yards and two touchdowns.

Nevada 63, UNLV 28: Freshman Mike Ball ran for 184 yards and five touchdowns, Colin Kaepernick rushed for 173 yards and Luke Lippincott 170 to lead the Wolfpack to their first win of the season and fifth in a row over the Rebels (2-3) at Reno, Nev.

Ball scored on runs of 10, 1, 32, 4 and 89 yards and Kaepernick added 200 yards passing for the Wolf Pack (1-3), who never punted in the game that was 21-21 at the half. As a team, they had 559 yards rushing and 773 yards total offense to help overcome four fumbles.

San Diego St. 34, New Mexico St. 17: Freshman halfback Walter Kazee rushed for 101 yards on 22 carries and scored a touchdown as the Aztecs (2-3) defeated the Aggies (2-3) at San Diego.

San Diego State scored half of their points in final 7 minutes with the help of Kazee’s TD carry and a scoring pass by Ryan Lindley to Willie Watters.

The Aggies tied it at 17 early in the fourth quarter when quarterback Trevor Walls connected with wide-receiver Todd Lee.

However, the Aztecs took the ensuing kickoff and marched 78 yards on nine plays for a TD.
