Lilac City Volkssport Association Autumn Walk - 5K or 10K. Walk on paved trails and road shoulders, with one uphill section that accesses the trail to Liberty Lake, while enjoying the fall colors, wildlife, lake and the community of Liberty Lake with its golf courses and nature trails. Not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Start times is 8 a.m.- noon and finish by 3 p.m. Liberty Lake Sewer and Water District Building, 22510 E. Mission Ave., Liberty Lake. (509) 255-9615.

Fourth Annual Lowcos Toy Drive - To benefit Stevens Elementary School in Spokane’s District 81. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy to either location and help them meet their goal of supplying a new toy or gift for every student in the school. Saturday, at the north end of Franklin Park Mall in the parking lot, on the corner of Division Street and Central Avenue; and Oct. 10 at Big Lots, 14024 E. Sprague Ave., Spokane Valley.
