Anti-71 argument illogical

The Spokesman-Review

The opponents of Referendum 71 claim that they are protecting traditional marriage.

I cannot comprehend the logic of these people. How does it make their marriage any different if homosexual couples have equal protection under the law? Especially since Referendum 71 does not have anything to do with marriage but overturning a domestic partnership law.

Maybe if all the homosexual haters in this world concentrated more on their own marriages and stayed out of the lives of others, we would have fewer divorces.
