An Inland Northwest tire and automobile repair company continues to grow and recently opened its second Spokane Valley shop, bringing the franchise’s total to four locations.

Lloyd’s Tire and Automotive is now also located in Veradale just east of Sullivan and Sprague avenues in a former auto sales and body shop building that was vacant for more than a year.

“It was sheer luck that we found this place,” said Chris Clark, co-owner and general manager of the new location, who noted that only minor changes to the building were needed to make it their own.

Clark owns the business with Lloyd Sauberan, who opened his first tire and auto shop in the mid-1970s in Coeur d’Alene. Two other locations – on Spokane’s South Hill and in the Dishman-Mica area – are co-owned by Sauberan and family members.

Clark, who has 18 years in the tire and auto business in the area, worked at the Coeur d’Alene location as general manager for several months prior to opening the new shop. The initial plan was to locate in Liberty Lake but city requirements made that option cost prohibitive, Clark said.

Along with new paint and signage, Clark said the new location features repair and alignment equipment. The shop is certified as an emissions repair location.

Lloyd’s Tire and Automotive also offers full auto repair and maintenance work on all types of vehicles and specializes in tire sales of major brands and custom wheels. It offers customers complimentary shuttle service as well as vehicle pick up and delivery. Clark is hopeful his business will stand out for customer satisfaction and service.

The partners have a 15-year lease on the 8,000 square-foot building that includes retail space and a 5,000 square-foot garage with seven work bays. They employ a crew of eight.

Currently, they are celebrating with grand opening specials such as $50 discount on any set of four tires and $19.95 for an oil change.
