Deputies investigate discovery of body

Spokane County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a dead body found late this morning off Day Mount Spokane Road, approximately a mile north of Randall Road. No details have been released yet as to the age, gender or condition of the body, which was found wrapped in blankets by two women who were walking on the road this morning about 10:30. An autopsy will be performed Monday, said Sgt. Dave Reagan of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Department, and more information will be available then. Reagan said investigators are treating the case as a homicide at this point.
