Fire protection at stake

The Spokesman-Review

As a longtime Spokane resident and active member of the community, I have spoken many times about issues that are critical to our community. I ask you now to support the Spokane Fire Department by voting yes on Proposition 1, fire bonds.

This bond issue will increase the level of safety for citizens and visitors of Spokane by providing fire and rescue equipment as well as protective gear for our firefighters. Spokane has benefited for many years from our Fire Department leadership, and they need our help now so they can be there to help us when we need it.

The success of our Fire Department and the hundreds of lives saved over the years is a direct reflection of our past support. Please join me in continuing the department’s legacy of “Service and Protection through Excellence” and support this important issue. Vote yes on Proposition 1.
