Nevada runs by Utah St.

Colin Kaepernick threw for three touchdowns while the nation’s leading rushing team continued to chalk up big yards as Nevada topped Utah State 35-32 Saturday at Logan, Utah.

The Wolf Pack (3-3, 2-0 Western Athletic Conference) had rushed an average 289 yards a game this season, but the team outdid itself, gaining 313 against the Aggies (1-5, 0-2).

Nevada took its first lead, 28-24, on a fourth-quarter 49-yard pass from Kaepernick to Brandon Wimberly. The Wolf Pack then got to 35-24 after Luke Lippincott ran for a 69-yard touchdown.

Fresno State 41, San Jose State 21: Ryan Mathews ran for 220 yards and Ryan Colburn threw two touchdown passes as the Bulldogs (3-3, 2-1) defeated the Spartans (1-5, 0-2) at Fresno, Calif.

Mathews’ night, which ended after three quarters, included a 59-yard touchdown that highlighted the Bulldogs’ 24-point second quarter. It was the junior’s sixth straight game with 100 or more yards.

Louisiana Tech 45, New Mexico State 7: Ross Jenkins passed for three touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Bulldogs (3-3, 2-1) over the Aggies (3-4, 1-2) in Ruston, La.

Daniel Porter added 132 yards for the Bulldogs, who won their third home game of the season.

Louisiana Tech amassed 540 yards of offense, including 315 on the ground.
