Man’s face slashed in early morning argument

Spokane police are looking for a man who pulled a knife on an intoxicated man and slashed him across the face following an argument early this morning in the Logan neighborhood of north Spokane.

The victim was attacked about 4:25 a.m. in front of the Ruth Apartments, 813 E. Sinto Ave., by a man who fled the scene in a newer dark green Jeep Wrangler with tan top.

Witnesses said they heard the argument and found the victim injured and drunk. The man, whom police did not identify, was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Freeman students march in unity to honor memory of slain classmate Sam Strahan

Drenched in sunshine and a sharp spring wind, more than 70 students marched Friday out of Freeman High School behind a “Freeman Strong” banner to the same football field where they sheltered in fear last September following the shooting that killed 15-year-old Sam Strahan and injured three girls.
