Montana State at EWU

KICKOFF: 1:05 p.m. at Cheney, Woodward Field

Records: MSU 4-2, 2-1 Big Sky; EWU 4-3, 3-2

TV/Radio: SWX/1510-AM

Overview: Eastern, which leads the Big Sky in rushing (150.3 yards per game), will get a severe homecoming test from a Montana State defense that has allowed opponents an average of only 89.2 rushing yards per game and hasn’t given up a touchdown on the ground. Look for the Bobcats to key on Eagles sophomore running back Taiwain Jones, who leads the conference in rushing (112.3 ypg) – especially with Eastern’s passing attack weakened by the loss of wide receiver Aaron Boyce, a four-year-starter, who ruptured his Achilles tendon in last weekend’s 41-34 road loss to Montana. This will be the final Woodward Field appearance of the year for the Eagles, who play Portland State at Qwest Field in Seattle next weekend and close the season with a pair of road games.
