Halloween events

The following is a list of upcoming North Idaho Halloween events.

Thursday

Witches’ Night Out! – Thursday, 4-7 p.m. on Sherman Avenue in downtown Coeur d’Alene. Ladies Night Out, adult costume contest, great prizes, Trail of the Great Pumpkin contest, hair bling and more. (208) 415-0116.

Tunnel of Terror – Thursday, 7-9 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, 7-11 p.m. at 7980 W. Diagonal Road, Rathdrum. Free kettle corn and hot cider upon completion. $3/ages 12 and older, $2/ages 6-12, free for ages 5 and younger.

Friday

‘Amaizing’ Corn Maze – Acres of family fun with mazes, food court and free parking, Mega haunted maze Friday-Saturday, 6-11 p.m. On Beck Road off state Highway 53 in Hauser. No pets, no purses or backpacks in maze, strollers and wheelchairs enter at own risk. $10/adults, $7/seniors and children ages 5-12, free/age 4 and younger. (509) 242-CORN (2506).

Haunted Attic at Schweitzer Mountain Resort - Friday-Saturday, 6-9 p.m., meet tour guides in the Selkirk Lodge lobby and take the elevator to the attic. Co-hosted by the Sandpoint High School Mime and Masque Club. Not recommended for ages 13 and younger or adults with health issues. Tickets available at the resort activity center at Schweitzer Mountain Resort, 10000 Schweitzer Mountain Road, Sandpoint. $10. (208) 255-3081.

The Curse of Pirates Island: A Haunted Adventure – Friday-Saturday, 6-11 p.m., at Kootenai County Fairgrounds, 4056 N. Government Way, Kathleen Avenue entrance, Coeur d’Alene. Featuring frights, costume contest, pumpkin carving, food, beverage, music, entertainment and free parking. $8/general, $6/age 12 and younger; tickets available at the gate only, not at fairgrounds office.

Halloween Happy House – Friday, 5:30-8 p.m. at Unity Church of North Idaho, 4465 N. 15th St. Featuring haunted house, costume contests, performances, games, crafts and prizes. Free, open to children up to age 10 with chaperone; age 16 and older. (208) 755-9348.

Saturday

Mudgy and Millie Halloween Family Walk – 9 a.m., meet at the Mudgy statue at the base of Tubbs Hill near the Third Street parking lot in downtown Coeur d’Alene. Family exercise program follows the 2.4 mile Mudgy & Millie trail through downtown Coeur d’Alene. (208) 769-2315.

Alternative Harvest Festival – 4-8 p.m. at North Country Chapel, 2281 W. Seltice Way. Petting zoo, walk-through Bible Room, performances, food, fun, candy, games and fire and police representatives. (208) 777-7100.

Wakin’ up Dead Halloween Fundraiser – 6:30 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1700 Pennsylvania Ave. An examination of life and death through song, drama and story. Featuring local four-time cancer survivor, Pamela Faye Houston, and former Spokane news anchor, Pamela Stark. Free childcare for up to age 3. Kids can come in costume and enjoy games, stories, crafts and treats. Admission by donation. Proceeds benefit Hospice of North Idaho.

Dead Ringer Halloween Bash – Music begins at 9 p.m. with Darrius Willrich Trio at The Edgewater Hotel’s Six Seven Lounge in Sandpoint. Costume judging at 11 p.m. (208) 269-4575.

Senior Halloween Dance – 7-9:30 p.m. Entertainment by The Redheads Plus. Post Falls Senior Center, 1215 E. Third Ave., Post Falls. $3.50. (208) 773-9582.

RLM Harvest Festival - Community outreach event from 5-8 p.m. for kids through fifth-grade at Real Life Ministries, 1866 Cecil Road, Post Falls. (208) 777-7325, ext. 153.

Pinehurst Fall Harvest Festival – 6-8 p.m. at Pinehurst Elementary School in Pinehurst. Family games, food and fun. Sponsored by Real Life Ministries Silver Valley and the Pinehurst-Kingston Lions Club. (208) 682-4801.

Downtown Coeur d’Alene Trick or Treat – 4-6 p.m. at participating merchants along Sherman Avenue. (208) 415-0116.

Scarywood Haunted Nights – The theme park will transform two attractions beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thunder Canyon raft ride will become Terror Canyon Walking Trail and Steam Engine No. 7 train will become the MidFRIGHT Express, a three-mile long train ride of terror with explosions, flying ghosts and ghouls, and crazy miners. Kroc Center Halloween Party – A Night Of Pirates and Princesses, a free event for all ages. Follow a treasure map, fun, games, candy, trick or treat from 4-6 p.m. Party goes until 8 p.m. at the center, 1756 W. Golf Course Road. (208) 667-1865.
