The Spokesman-Review
A 63-year-old Spokane man was injured today when he fell asleep at the wheel and went off U.S. Highway 195 near Spangle, according to the Washington State Patrol. Brooks L. Cornwell was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. He was headed north in a 1992 Pontiac Grand Am about 9:15 a.m. when he went off the road to the left and then overcorrected, returning across the northbound lanes and rolled into a ditch. He was cited for negligent driving, troopers said.
