Videos can be submitted from now until Nov. 22, and the organizers will choose a lucky winner to give unlimited skiing to for three months at some of the top skiing spots in North America.
“This place has long been a haven for ski bums from around the world. We’re sharing that adventure through the experiences of one person—the Ultimate Ski Bum,” said Chris Andrews, Kootenay Rockies Tourism. “No agenda, no job, just snow, mountains and a road that links it all together.”
The Powder Highway includes seven Canadian ski resorts in the Rockies, Purcells, Selkirks and Monashees, plus remote areas with plenty of powder accessible only by helpicopter or snowcat. All the areas are connected by one road.
The winner will be announced Dec. 1, and will be chosen by a combination of official judges and votes from visitors to the www.PowderHighway.com/SkiBum page. The site also has details about the contest and how to enter.
