City needs more of Allen

The Spokesman-Review

Spokane has made huge strides since Mike Allen joined the City Council: We have an emerging University District that will benefit everyone, our streets are being repaired and our neighborhoods are being strengthened. Mike has helped lead these important initiatives – retaining him means Spokane will continue to thrive.

Mike’s long experience in higher education provided him the leadership skills to ensure that the University District will be a successful educational and economic force. His commitment to economic vitality and quality of life have also helped the city’s basic services, infrastructure and vitality improve enormously.

And his work on the council shows that Mike has a vision for the entire city and that he cooperates with a variety of people to move us forward. This ability to collaborate with varied groups of a diverse district that includes high- and low-income neighborhoods means everyone’s concerns and ideas get fair, honest consideration – not just those from a few square blocks along the Spokane River.

Proven leadership, a good plan and the ability to collaborate are vital to enhance our quality of life and propel our city forward. Mike Allen possesses all of these – vote to keep him on the council.
