Seniors have a stake, too

I am curious as to why so many people are unaware that, beyond the gay issue, Referendum 71 is a benefit for unmarried heterosexual seniors, in that domestic partnerships mean that their hard-earned Social Security, military or pension benefits are not put at risk as they would be with a traditional marriage.
