Support successful cityhood

The Spokesman-Review

As the election of our new City Council members draws near, I feel compelled to write in and place some important facts before us all.

I worked on three previous unsuccessful attempts to incorporate the Spokane Valley. Finally, we were successful.

I have monitored this since we became a city and I am proud to say we all have done well. When the facts were first put out by the incumbents, I saw the efforts of our elected officials, proving that they had followed the plan we voted for.

When I drive through our city now, I feel a great pride, especially, seeing all of the improvements along Sprague Avenue and Indiana Avenue and with our senior center, where I had a booth for Valleyfest. We are a growing, successful city and we must keep it that way.

We have had three unsuccessful attempts to disenfranchise which have always failed for lack of signatures. Let us re-elect Rich Munson, Diana Wilhite and Ian Robertson and build a stronger city.
