Dallstream leads Cougars

Senior Kiersten Dallstream scored twice Thursday as Washington State (3-1) cruised to a 3-0 win over host Gonzaga (2-1) in non-conference women’s soccer.

Dallstream moved into fourth place on the Cougars’ all-time scoring list, with 22 goals. WSU leads the series with the Bulldogs 17-0-1.

•Chelsea Winbush scored from 15 yards out on a breakaway in the 107th minute to give visiting UTEP (3-1) a 3-2 non-conference win over Eastern Washington.

The Eagles (1-2) led 2-1 after Brittney Doran’s goal in the 36th minute.

•Tabitha Grow scored twice as Community Colleges of Spokane opened its season with a 6-0 win over Highline (0-3, 0-1) in Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges play at Spokane Falls CC.

Mandy Schmedding and Courtney Stewart added one goal and one assist apiece for the Sasquatch.

Men’s soccer

Morgan Hartanov’s unassisted goal in the 33rd minute snapped a tie and launched CC Spokane (1-1, 1-0) toward a 5-1 win over Highline (2-3, 0-1) in NWAACC play at SFCC.

Ricky Carmolinga scored on a penalty kick and Admir Rasic off a corner kick for the Sasquatch.
