According to the state police, around 2 p.m. Chenault was northbound on U.S. 95 in Sagle and Jensen was southbound passing Caldwell.
Chenault crossed through the center turn lane and struck the left back of Jensen’s Acura sedan, causing her to spin out of control, cross both northbound lanes and go off the highway, police said.
Chenault’s pickup truck continued into the right southbound lane and struck Caldwell’s Suzuki SUV on the driver’s side, forcing the vehicle off the road.
Traffic was partially blocked for about 90 minutes.
All occupants were wearing seatbelts, and airbags deployed in each vehicle.
