This weekend’s weather is brought to you by the words Clear and Warm.

A high pressure system centered over Eastern Washington is building and strengthening, and should bring near-record temperatures to the Spokane area on Saturday and Sunday. The highs for both days should be about 89 degrees; the record for both days is 91 degrees.

“Take advantage of summer while you can,” advised Paul Bos of the National Weather Service. Clear and warm temperatures should continue through the first part of next week, but a low-pressure system is expected to move into the area by mid-week, bringing cooler temperatures by next Thursday and Friday.
