Fair packed with activities

Today’s highlights at the Spokane County Interstate Fair include:

•Gates open at 8:30 a.m., exhibit buildings open at 10 a.m. and carnival rides open at noon.

•Ziggy’s kids pedal-tractor-pull contest, various times in the Steam & Gas area.

•International lumberjack show, noon and 6:30 p.m. on the South Lawn.

•Kids’ mutton-busting, various times, north of the Grandstand.

•PRCA Rodeo, 7 p.m. in the Grandstand Arena.

Fair admission is $8 for adults at the gate; $5 for kids ages 7 to 13 and seniors 65 and older; and free for kids 6 and younger.
