Abrupt changes at 65

The Spokesman-Review

A Dr. Robert Golden wrote his Sept. 12 guest opinion from his experiences as a doctor. It stated, “At age 65 all citizens are eligible for this program.”

My experience dictates differently. Both my husband and I were forced to accept Medicare. I handled the expenses and we were perfectly happy with our coverage with his workplace. The minute we turned 65 they no longer picked up the 80 percent. Since, I’ve seen this Medicare program hacked away at and the quality disintegrate. Thanks, but no thanks.
