I was at this meet yesterday and I feel that one HUGE fact was left out. It is true that the meet was divided into an A(large school) and B(small school) when scoring the end results even though they all ran at one time. But something you might not know is that a small school took the ENTIRE meet for the Girls Varsity. (If you combine the A and B schools together for an overall standing, 26 schools in all). That school being Timberlake out of Spirit Lake. I think this is news worthy because it is not very often that a small school can beat the power houses such as CDA and Lake City. But yesterday they did!! Cross Country is not a sport for the faint of heart and every athlete out there gave it their all yesterday. But this group of ladies that represent Timberlake took it to another level with a B Meet score of 25 and an overall score of 66. I would love to hear and read more about these incredible ladies. Great job Coach Lawler!!
