Letters prompt mood mix

The Spokesman-Review

I smiled when I read Milton Rowland’s defense of his ex-colleague from the city of Spokane, Rocky Treppiedi. I laughed when I read the opinion posed by current city financial officer Gavin Cooley. I shook my head when I read ex-Spokesman-Review employee Karen Dorn Steele’s opinion that called out some of Rocky’s past.

All that I do know is that Otto Zehm got beaten and died in the hands of a gaggle of city police officers. I hope that the Zehm family is rewarded by taxpayer dollars.

As it sits right now the only one that is currently being awarded is the defense attorney city taxpayers are financing, Carl Oreskovich ($200,000).

I guess the only thing to do from here is to have the Spokesman’s Doug Clark spend the day with Rocky. Maybe then we can get an accurate account of what Rocky has been doing to prepare for his latest fight. At this point, I’m really thankful that we have a federal government, because it seems that Rocky and his boys love a good fight.
