Next IT Corporation has hired Kelsey Keturakat as a natural language Model QA engineer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies with minors in psychology, sociology and criminology from Eastern Washington University.

Kootenai Cancer Center in Sandpoint has hired Dr. Fran Mason as a medical oncologist. Dr. Mason is a graduate of Swarthmore College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Pennsylvania. She previously served as medical director of oncology for the sports medicine program at NatureMed Integrative Medicine in Boulder, Colo. and is board-certified in hematology/oncology and internal medicine.

Michael Shellenberger has been hired as senior vice president and manager of the commercial/retail services group for Washington Trust Bank. He previously worked for a bank in Scottsdale, Ariz., as senior vice president of the company’s commercial group and has more than 29 years of banking experience.

Nadine Woodward has been hired as a TV and radio news anchor for KXLY Broadcast Group. She previously worked for KREM-TV.

Promotions

Washington Trust Bank has promoted Scott Luttinen to executive vice president of the company’s commercial banking division. He has been with the company since 2000.

Ryan Douglas has been promoted by Douglas, Eden, Phillips, DeRuyter and Stanyer P.S. to principal. He has been with the law firm since 2006.

Kudos

Idaho Parents Unlimited Inc. presented Specialized Needs Recreation with its 2009 Outstanding Agency award. The nonprofit organization provides recreational opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities.

Appointed

Mike Wilson, former president and CEO of Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children’s Hospital and Holy Family Hospital, and Jason Thackston, vice president of finance for Avista Corp., have been appointed to serve four-year terms on the Health Sciences and Services Authority of Spokane County’s board of directors.

The following individuals have been appointed to serve three-year terms on St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute’s community advisory board: Jorge Bombel, retired Brigadier General, U.S. Army; Susan Gray, Spokane physical therapist; Mary Langford, retired teacher; Andrew Schillinger of Layman, Layman and Robinson, PLLP; and Tammy Tomlinson-Kroetch of Reliant RX.

Dr. Michelle Spring has opened Seasons Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Ponderay, Idaho. The company is a full-service plastic surgery practice with a licensed medical aesthetician on site. Dr. Spring previously worked as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Madison, Wis. and in San Diego. She received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as two fellowships, and is licensed in Idaho, California and Wisconsin.
