HUMBLE, Texas – Alex Prugh took a big tumble Saturday during the third round of the Houston Open.

Prugh (Ferris High), who began the day tied for second place, fell into a tie for 21st by following Friday’s 6-under-par 66 with a 76. Prugh is at 4-under 212, six shots behind co-leaders Anthony Kim and Bryce Molder.

Prugh was 1 under after a birdie on the eighth hole, but he bogeyed Nos. 9, 11, 13, 16 and 18 and shot 40 on the back nine.

Kim struggled off the tee but relied on good putting to shoot a 3-under 69. Molder, the second-round leader, made four bogeys and five birdies for a 71.

Vaughn Taylor (70) and Joe Ogilvie (71) were two back at 8 under after both bogeyed the 18th hole. Jeff Maggert (70), Graham DeLaet (71) and Lee Westwood (72) were three shots back.
