Newest ferry towed to Everett
EVERETT – Washington state’s newest ferry has arrived in Everett for final outfitting and system testing as crews prepare it for a summer release.
The Herald of Everett reported that the Chetzemoka was towed from Todd Pacific Shipyards on Seattle’s Harbor Island to the Everett waterfront on Saturday – its first journey on water.
The 64-vehicle ferry is scheduled to serve the Port Townsend-Keystone route. It cost $76.5 million. The state plans to build two more ferries.
