Letters shot down journalism

The Spokesman-Review

Hats off to Officer Tim Moses and Detective Ernie Wuthrich for the Spokane Police Department (Letters, April 1) for their courage in calling The Spokesman-Review to account for making a victim out of a man who intended to make victims of others. Their points are well taken, and I’m sure will generate at least a couple of columns by that master of drivel, Doug Clark, but so what? Is there anyone out there who takes him seriously?

Officer Moses mentioned the “irresponsibility” of your journalism, and that it was “agenda-based.” Perhaps that’s why the size of the S-R is continually shrinking – in proportion to your shrinking believability and credibility.

Thanks to our law enforcement people who protect us and daily lay their lives on the line.
