Spokane Valley Multiple Sclerosis Support Group – Meets the last Wednesday of every month, 6-8 p.m., Valley Hospital Health Education Center, 12606 E. Mission Ave., Spokane Valley. Call (509) 482-2022 for more information.

Stepping Forward – Two classes that help cancer patients and their family members through the emotional issues of cancer. Class times and locations vary according to patients’ needs. To register, call the Providence Cancer Center at (509) 474-5490.

Stroke Support Group – Provides education, peer support, special events and social networking for stroke survivors, family, friends and caregivers. Meets the third Thursday of each month, 3-4 p.m., at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute, 711 S. Stroke Support Group – For inpatients, discharged patients, families and caregivers, providing education, sharing resources and offering emotional support. Survivor Citizen Action Team – Survivors of vehicular assault from impaired drivers meet the second Tuesday of the month, 6:30 p.m., Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council’s Prevention Center, 8104 E. Sprague Ave.; (509) 922-8383.
