Arrest made in Indian Trail collision

The Spokesman-Review
A 25-year-old Spokane man is accused of trying to cover up his involvement in a fiery crash by telling police his car had been stolen. Christopher L. Robinson crashed his car March 31 at 4400 W. Strong Road, taking out a utility pole and knocking out power to several homes in the Indian Trial area, according to the Spokane Police Department. Police couldn’t find the driver that night, and Robinson reported the vehicle stolen the next morning. Spokane police Officer Christopher Bode, while off duty, contacted a witness he identified Robinson as the driver and said she’d driven him from the crash. Robinson was booked Thursday into Spokane County Jail on misdemeanor charges of hit and run and false reporting. He’s out on $750 bond.
