Oprah again wins the hunt

Hunter
From Wire Reports

Oprah Winfrey has landed the first televised interview with Rielle Hunter since former presidential candidate John Edwards first admitted two years ago they had an affair.

Hunter is scheduled to appear on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on an unspecified date.

GQ magazine last month published the first interview with Hunter, who was Edwards’ campaign videographer.

She didn’t say whether they are still romantically involved, but said Edwards wants to be there for their 2-year-old daughter.

Desperate allegations?

Nicollette Sheridan is suing “Desperate Housewives” creator/producer Marc Cherry for $20 million, alleging assault and wrongful termination.

Sheridan claims that Cherry hit her in the face in September 2008 when she questioned a line in the script.

When she reported the incident to ABC, she says, Cherry retaliated by killing off her character, Edie Britt.

ABC, also named in the suit, said it investigated Sheridan’s claims and “found them to be without merit.”

Keeping his chin up

Film legend Kirk Douglas has asked a federal judge to spare his drug-dealer grandson a harsh prison sentence.

Cameron Douglas, the son of actor Michael Douglas, pleaded guilty earlier this year to peddling large quantities of methamphetamine out of a trendy Manhattan hotel.

The charges carry a minimum 10-year prison term, but his lawyers are arguing for 3  1/2 years at sentencing next week.
