Not just fish out of water

Former ’N Sync member Lance Bass, celebrity chef Cat Cora and Green Day are among those helping to pay for a gay-friendly prom in Mississippi next month.

The annual event, organized by the Mississippi Safe Schools Coalition, is open to everyone but geared toward gay students.

A coalition spokesman said Bass, who is gay, is among the celebrities expected to attend.

This year’s prom, scheduled for May 8, has drawn attention because of the case of Constance McMillen, a high school senior who challenged her school district’s rule banning same-sex dates at proms.

Someone tie him up

Former “Family Ties” actor Brian Bonsall has been sentenced to two years probation after pleading guilty to charges connected to a fight with a friend last year in Colorado.

Bonsall, 28, also pleaded guilty to violating probation from a 2007 assault on his girlfriend.

He played the youngest son, Andy Keaton, on the ’80s sitcom starring Michael J. Fox.

Cage still trapped

A Bel-Air mansion owned by Nicolas Cage has found no takers in a foreclosure auction.

The opening bid for the 12,000-square-foot home was $10.4 million, but there are $18 million worth of loans on it.

Even though he’s one of Hollywood’s highest-paid stars, Cage owes millions in unpaid taxes. In January, his foreclosed home in Las Vegas sold for nearly $5 million.
