Morality no mere 12-step plan

The Spokesman-Review

I have never heard any of my multitude of friends or family suffering from sex addiction. I know a few acquaintances who divorced over adultery, some very blatant. All men of course, because women seem to be immune to this illness. Either that, or none of them had enough money to go to a member of the psychiatric profession for this very learned and very expensive rehabilitation.

All of these divorces were caused by adultery. Not affairs, indiscretions or lapses in judgment – some of the words used by statesmen, athletes, members of the cloth and the rich and famous.

How convenient for these famous individuals to find such a shadowy diagnosis when all they had to do was keep their pants up.

Most of us don’t have the money or the morals of these rich and famous individuals and therefore live as best we can by following the Ten Commandments.

Besides, I don’t believe any federal, state or local government agency give-away programs would fund a program for the cure – thank God.
