Return the reins

Bonuses are being handed out to federal regulators, Wall Street executives, insurance company employees and other bankers who were bailed out by the taxpayers. These folks ruined the economy, and the president and Congress rewarded them financially for their failures.

Our president and legislative branch are trying to cut Medicare and enact a poorly planned and destructive health care system. Senior citizens will not get raises this year and suffer through horribly low interest rates for their hard-earned savings accounts and IRAs.

Gifts have been given to those who, through greed, torpedoed our economic system, and now double whammies against seniors who have defended this country’s freedom and supported it with tax money for over 50 years.

Congress has an approval rating of less than 20 percent, and they prove it daily with fueled-by-greed, immoral, arrogant, ignorant, in-your-face decisions that keep pushing the debt meter into supersonic speeds.

There needs to be a positive peaceful revolution by removing the culprits at the polls. As owners of this country it’s time to take the reins.

Times now are rougher than a logging road. Your vote for real change is critical.
