Reversed love affair

The Spokesman-Review

For many years, I have heard the phrase “America, love it or leave it!” This phrase usually becomes popular whenever the U.S. becomes involved in an unpopular war or the Republicans are in total control of the government.

Now that President Obama and the Democrats are in control, I hear shouts from the far right that the United States is turning into a socialist state. To you far-right conservative T-partying fundamentalist extremists who are unhappy with the social, ethnic, financial, political and religious dynamics changing this great nation of ours, I have just one thing to say: “America: Love it or leave it! Take your big fat bank accounts and move to the Cayman Islands where you can live happily ever after!”
