Man uses note to rob bank on Indian Trail Road

A man in his early 30s robbed the Spokane Teachers Credit Union branch on Indian Trail Road Friday afternoon, police said.

The man handed a teller a note shortly after 2:30 p.m. saying he had a gun – although no weapon was displayed, said Spokane police Officer Glenn Bartlett. He left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Bartlett added.

No one was injured during the robbery, Bartlett said. Witnesses thought he may have headed north from the bank, at 8703 N. Indian Trail Road.

A K-9 was called to the scene but was unable to find him, Bartlett said.

The robber was described as white, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, with a thin-to-medium build. He was wearing a black windbreaker jacket, jeans and a black knit cap with a gray stripe around the rim.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
