Week in review

Spokane Valley Fire – Commissioners heard reports on the cost per mile to run all the department’s vehicles and a survey of Spokane Valley residents on their level of satisfaction with the department’s work. They also decided to try for a cheaper exhaust capture system for several fire stations since the FEMA grant the department received to pay for the work is significantly less than expected.

Rockford City Council – The City Council and Planning Commission will have a joint meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Emma Street sidewalk project is expected to begin Monday. The town’s chipping day is scheduled for May 8. (Source: Town clerk Darlene LaShaw)
