New Faces

Graham Construction and Management Inc. has hired Doug Hammond as a business development manager. He previously worked as a facilities director for Empire Health Services for 10 years and has 34 years of construction and development experience. He holds bachelor’s degrees from Washington State University and a master’s degree in public administration from Eastern Washington University.

Collette Leland has been hired as an associate for Winston and Cashatt. She previously served as a deputy prosecuting attorney at the Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office and was a judicial clerk for Justice Mary E. Fairhurst of the Washington state Supreme Court. She is a graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law.

The Winston and Cashatt firm has also hired Casey Lund as an associate. He previously served as general manager of Lund Brothers Inc. and has extensive contracting experience. He is a graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law and Northwest Nazarene University.

Ronda Castillo has been hired by Rhonda Allison, a professional cosmeceutical skin care company, as an advanced aesthetic instructor and Washington-area representative. Allison is the founder of SpaBlue in Spokane and has more than 17 years of advanced aesthetics experience.

Coldwell Banker Tomlinson North has hired Cory Brannon as an agent. He previously worked for Coldwell Banker Northwest Group for the past three years.

Promotions

Wells Fargo has promoted Amber Williams to manager for the company’s South Spokane location; Spencer Brower to manager for the Spokane Main location and Cassandra Caston to manager of the Northwest and Ash location. Williams has been with the company since 2002, Brower since 2005 and Caston since 2004.

Kudos

The Spokane Association of Realtors presented Marianne Guenther with its Excellence in Professionalism Award for her contributions to the association and local community. Guenther is a Realtor with Windermere Spokane.

Drs. Patricia Barnes and Donald Eckard have been named on the list of “Best Doctors” in the March 2010 issue of Spokane Coeur d’Alene Living Magazine. Both doctors work as radiologists affiliated with NightHawk Radiology Services in Coeur d’Alene.

The following individuals received Community Awards from the Arc of Spokane for their contributions toward improving the lives of people with developmental and intellectual disabilities: Shirley Carlson, Hazel Skog Award; Debbie Nguyen and Dr. Carl Bodenstein, Advocates of the Year; Kathy Thorson, Educator of the Year; The Berg Companies, Employer of the Year; Natalia Seefeldt, Good Neighbor Award; The ISAAC Foundation, Organization of the Year; and Mike Howell, Self-Advocate of the Year.

Junior Achievement of the Inland Northwest inducted William (Bill) Robinson of Whitworth University and Terrill Hunt and Family of Allied Fire and Security as 2010 laureates into its Business Hall of Fame.

Gifts

Children’s Home Society of Eastern Washington, Spokane Child Abuse Network (SCAN) and Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery received $11,432 each from the Exchange Club of Downtown Spokane toward the prevention child abuse and neglect in Spokane. The funds were raised during the organization’s annual crab feed and auction.

Appointed

Gov. Chris Gregoire has appointed Mark Mays to the Eastern Washington University Board of Trustees. Mays is a clinical psychologist and attorney.
