Spokane Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick is one of 11 finalists to lead Seattle’s police force.

Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn’s office released the list today in a news release.

The finalists will be interviewed May 8 by McGinn’s chief search committee.

Other candidates include the police chiefs of Des Moines, Iowa; Sacramento; East Palo Alto, Calif.; and Lawrence, Mass.

There are also three internal candidates, including Interim Seattle Chief John Diaz.

Kirkpatrick announced earlier this year that she would apply for the job.
