Guild sends wrong message

The Spokesman-Review

Chief Anne Kirkpatrick holds our police officers to a very high standard, as well she should. It is what the citizens of Spokane expect. She will not tolerate conduct unbecoming of an officer: lewd behavior, driving while intoxicated, misuse of a firearm, insubordination, etc., etc., etc.

The Police Guild has repeatedly overturned the disciplinary actions she has taken by returning the offending officers to their jobs, with back pay, with interest. The message this sends is a Spokane police officer can get away with anything.
