Chef teaches cooking at Blanchard center

Chef Steve Geving is hosting cooking classes at the Blanchard Community Center in Blanchard, Idaho. Geving, a retired master chef – the highest level of achievement certified by the American Culinary Federation – is offering a series of classes called “Learn to Cook with a Master Chef.” The classes are Mondays from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and generally cost $25 per person. They include recipes, demonstrations and tastings. Upcoming classes include: May 17: Exotic Cuisine of Asia June 21: Grilling with Geving July 19: Culinary Americana Aug. 23: Chef’s Tour: Black Forest Sept. 20: Louisiana Cajun Oct. 18: Ooh La La French Nov. 22: ’Tis the Season Dec. 20: A Dickens Christmas Call (208) 437-0426 to reserve a space. Also, starting in May, the center will host Elegant Dinners with Scott and Roxanne Cook of Two Cooks with Love. The dinners will be from 5 to 8 p.m. and start on May 5 with a Cinco de Mayo fajita bar for $19.95 per person. The dinners will be held regularly through September.
