Church plans to bless feet for Bloomies

Sunday morning will bring runners and walkers to downtown Spokane for the annual Bloomsday race. If you feel carbo-loading may not be enough to get you up Doomsday Hill, one local church will offer a special foot-blessing service in honor of the event.

Central United Methodist Church, 518 W. Third Ave., will offer the blessing of Bloomsday race participants and their feet Saturday at 7 p.m.

The service will include live music from the church’s praise and worship band, Genesis.

For more information, call the church office at (509) 838-1431.
