Guild’s take explains all

The Spokesman-Review

Wake up, Spokane. If the Spokane police don’t like Chief Anne Kirkpatrick, she has to be good. I think we should do anything possible to keep her here in Spokane.

I am not a fan of any government agency, but she seems to be a real keeper. She is trying to hold the Spokane police to the higher standards they tend to pat themselves on the back for. Now, the police chief is trying to hold her employees to this high standard, and they want to get rid of her.

It seems like the Spokane police have kind of a bad reputation, and distrust is growing daily. I think she can turn this growing trend around and regain the trust in the police department.

More and more, kids have a distrust for the police, based on news and actual experiences with them. Who cares what the Spokane Police Guild thinks?

Spokane, please let Anne Kirkpatrick know you value her; she really is a value to Spokane. Also, if you are from another town looking to hire a police chief, don’t hire her! The Spokane Police Guild says she is no good.
