I-90 now clear after two crashes

FRIDAY, AUG. 6, 2010, 6:35 P.M.

Two separate car crashes on Interstate 90 blocked the east- and westbound lanes near the state line, with confirmed injuries in at least one collision, police said. The roadway is now clear in both directions.

The collisions both occurred about five miles east of Liberty Lake, just before 6 p.m., according to Washington State Patrol. WSP is not sure if the collisions are related, but they said they received the calls only minutes apart.

The eastbound travelers sustained minor injuries, WSP said.
