Oregon motorcyclist dies after Saturday wreck

A motorcycle driver who lost control of his bike on Saturday died today. John G. Lingle, 61, of Aloha, Ore., was eastbound on Hwy. 12 west of Powell, Idaho, on Saturday afternoon. As he approached a curve in the road, he hit a patch of gravel and was thrown from the bike around 12:41 p.m., according Idaho State Patrol. Lingle did not wear a helmet, ISP reported. Following the accident he was taken to St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center in Missoula, where he died.
