Sanders upholds freedoms

People of faith have a champion in Washington Supreme Court Justice Richard Sanders, who insists that “absolute freedom of conscience in all matters of religious sentiment, belief and worship, shall be guaranteed to every individual” as the Washington state Constitution promises.

Our constitution’s protection of religious acts, practices, worship and exercise is greater than that of the First Amendment, and Sanders defends our religious liberty against every unconstitutional regulatory infringement, prior restraint or prohibition that comes before the court.

At a time when historic churches are being threatened with eminent domain dispossession for the sake of tax revenue, Sanders is needed at the court more than ever.
