Two hospitalized in U.S. 2 crash near Priest River
An inattentive driver caused a crash near Priest River Wednesday that sent two people to a Spokane hospital, Idaho State Police said.
James E. Krizenesky, 82, of Priest River, was westbound on U.S. Highway 2 going to Hat Creek Cattle Company around 3:30 p.m., ISP reported. As Krizenesky turned in to the entrance, he struck an eastbound 2005 Kia carrying driver Francisco Magna III, 27, of Oldtown, and passenger Zualita L. Magna, 44, of Ponderay.
Krizenesky, who was cited for inattentive driving, was treated and released from Newport Community Hospital. The Magnas were transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, where they were in satisfactory condition Wednesday night, a nursing supervisor said.
